Past Projects
Pat Ferns has produced some of Canada's finest
award-winning television programming and
feature films, as well as some of the world's
leading media events. His company- Ferns
Productions Inc. - continues this tradition,
producing and packaging the most innovative
talent and projects with the financing they require.
Assisting in securing pre-sales and commissions
in all territories, Executive Producer Pat Ferns is a
co-production and co-venture specialist with over
30 years of international experience. His
productions have garnered major awards around
the world.
Ferns Productions Inc. will produce blue chip
factual mini-series, feature films and television
drama. Ferns' credits include the first Canadian
productions on BBC's Screen2, on PBS'
Masterpiece Theatre and on TNT as well as the
first Canadian mini-series on Britain's ITV and on
U.S. network television.
Line Producer Andrew Ferns is a graduate of
Halifax's Dalhousie University. Since moving to
the West Coast, he served as a Production
Manager and Line Producer over the last three
years for Vancouver's Insight Film Studios and
Shavick Entertainment helping produce their
ongoing slate of MOWs and Feature Films.
His documentary credits include the Vision TV/
PBS mini-series, “Secret Files of the Inquisition”
and the Gemini nominated Discovery Channel
Canada's series, “Human Wildlife; The Life That
Lives On Us”. The co-writer of “The Dark Ones”,
Andrew now brings his diverse experience to
Ferns Productions.
Their first major project together is an Australia/
Canada co-production of a four part mini-series:
“Captain Cook: Obsession and Betrayal in the
New World”.
